Relay For Life dollars support:
Research - the American Cancer Society (ACS) has funded around $3.1 billion for research over the last 60 years. That is more than any entity besides the federal government. Over half of funds raised at Relay For Life fund local research.
Education - publish and update early detection screening guidelines for breast, cervical and colon cancer. Provide information and guidance related to testing for early detection of prostate and lung cancer. Round the clock phone support helping people make informed decisions, finding local resources and searching for clinical trials.
Advocacy - empower people to be able to fight back against cancer with ACS CAN, Celebration on the Hill, smoke-free laws and more. Increase federal funding for cancer research.
Services - Road to Recovery®, Reach to Recovery®, Look Good...Feel Better®, Hope Lodge®, Cancer Survivor's Network™ and children's camps. Matching services to patients seeking clinical trials.
